It seems only fitting that on a beauty of an April day in Cornwall you take the chance to enjoy a brekki in the sun, right? If you’re looking for a spot that feels like an extension of a romantic airb&b balcony, this is the place!
Sunshine Yoga Cafe has flourished in their mission to deliver plant-based food, from well-sourced produce, at an affordable price. Their menu reflects seasonal and healthy ingredients that have been served up into delicious dishes to leave you feeling nourished and satisfied!
The gorgeous area inside creates a serene atmosphere, which suits the space, given their yoga studio on site. Sunday morning never sounded so good when it includes a yoga session and breakfast date at Sunshine!
Given the heatwave that Cornwall is currently enjoying, my mum and I grabbed a seat outside. Here, the dark oak seating and beautiful white walls soaked up the sun so perfectly – it almost gave the flavour of a meditation taverna!
Whether you’re craving sweet, or something more savoury takes your fancy, Sunshine’s menu doesn’t disappoint. Enjoying the perfect blend of both, my mum and I opted for the marinated mushrooms on toast, as well as the tempting B.L.E smoothie bowl. Now, while I am still unsure what the initials of B.L.E stand for, I can confirm that the bowl itself was a blimmin’ lovely experience!
Down to the good stuff: beneath the selection of the most moorish bits and bobs on top, the smoothie of the B.L.E bowl was truly delightful. Sunshine’s homemade granola is a nut-lovers dream, with a lush crunch and wholesome aftertaste. With peanut butter slathered on the side and a cheeky mint garnish, I couldn’t have asked for more parcels of joy to be packed into the little coconut bowl!
The marinated mushrooms on toast sprouted some joy in our tummies too – with avocado, tamari-toasted seeds and house pesto. Oh boy! If mushrooms aren’t your thing, it’s no stress, the plethora of options to add to your sourdough toast is totally epic.
We washed all this down with a mug of coffee. Simply delectable coffee at that! Sunshine’s drinks menu is not to be overlooked, with smoothies and juices galore, alongside their wicked selection of herbal teas and speciality lattes.
So, if you’re wanting a lovely bitta lunch in a chilled out spot, don’t skip Sunshine Yoga Cafe. Unwind in one of their yoga or meditation classes; plug in and get productive in the upstairs section of the cafe, or simply sit back and fuel up from the lush selection of eats!
While you’re down Penryn! Pop over the road to Bailey’s Farm shop and indulge in some proper good Cornish produce to take away with you!
